A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten address under the very same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s incredibly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes just one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button for the given address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes one more click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox without effort even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you have created with your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t need this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
